A well-organized school or center is one that is strong on three or more of the essentials, with a positive climate that is much more likely to have higher-quality teaching and better children’s attendance outcomes.
The strength in these essentials comes in their interdependence
Research shows that the essentials are correlated – especially Effective Instructional Leaders and Collaborative Teachers – suggesting that they work together to create the overall culture and climate within an early childhood education site.
The Essential 0-5 Survey data are straightforwardand actionable
Leaders, teachers, and staff will be able to identify areas for improvement and make changes to strengthen your organization and improve outcomes for children and families.
The overall performance score is comprised of each of the 0-5 Essentials scores. Schools that are at or above benchmark on 3 or more essentials are 10 times more likely to improve than schools that are below the benchmark.
