UChicago Impact Surveys provide educators at all levels — early childhood through twelfth grade, teachers through superintendents — with the data they need to help improve student outcomes.
The 5Essentials were developed by the University of Chicago Urban Education Institute, in partnership with Chicago Public Schools. Past research has shown that schools strong on at least three of the five essentials are 10 times more likely to improve student learning than schools weak on three or more of the five essentials.
Cultivate was developed by the UChicago Consortium and Start Early in order to help early childhood education sites diagnose organizational strengths and weaknesses. Research shows that high-quality, well-implemented early childhood education positively affects the learning trajectories of children who start school with lower skills than their peers.
The Essential 0-5 Survey was developed by the University of Chicago Consortium on School Research at the University of Chicago Urban Education Institute. Research shows the connection between students’ grades, their Mindsets & Strategies, and the conditions teachers create in their classrooms.
